1. Turn off the A4. Ensure that the parking brake is on and that the gear selector is in Park.
2. Open the trunk by either pulling on the trunk release button beneath the steering wheel or by pressing the trunk release button on your key fob if you have that option.
3. Locate the oval panel on the side of the trunk wall. Pry the panel off with a flathead screwdriver, using gentle pressure to avoid cracking the plastic of the trunk. There will be a bolt head inside the cavity that was covered by the plastic panel.
4. Loosen the bolt inside the cavity. This will release the lens cover on the brake light on the rear of your Audi. Be prepared to catch the lens, to prevent scratching the lens or the rear paint. If the lens cover does not come off on its own, you can pry it off gently with a flathead screwdriver. Be gentle to avoid damaging the paint or cracking the lens.
5. Remove the light bulb from the electrical harness by hand. The bulb just plugs into the port--no special tools are necessary. Place the lens cover back on the tail light. While holding the lens up, thread the bolt back into the cavity by hand until it catches in the grooves on the lens backing. Tighten the lens down with a wrench, until the lens cover will no longer wiggle if you push on it.
6. Repeat this process for the other tail light. Turn the car back on and test the brake lights by pressing down on the brakes while someone else looks for the brake lights to signal.

1. Locate the fuse panel cover on the drivers side dashboard, near the foot well. Use your fingers to pull down on it from the top.
2. Find a large port on the fuse panel. Plug the connective end of the OBD reset tool into this port.
3. Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position. Dont turn on the engine, though. This will power on the OBD reset tool automatically.
4. Wait for the codes to flash on the OBD reset tool screen. Use the arrow keys on the reset tool to find and select Delete on the menu screen. Some OBD reset tools have a Delete button on the face of the tool. Either way, select Delete and wait for the ABS light to blink and then turn off on the instrument panel.
5. Unplug the tool from the port and replace the fuse panel cover. Turn off the vehicle and wait 60 seconds. Turn the engine on and verify the ABS light is off.

1. Turn the vehicle off and locate the center button on the right side of the instrument panel.
2. Hold the center button while switching the ignition to the “ON” position. Release the center button and wait for the instrument panel display to read “SERVICE!”.
3. Press and hold the farthest button on the right near the center button. Wait for the service indicator light to clear, and then turn off the ignition.

How to Change a Turn Signal Light on a BMW
1. Pop the hood on the car and use the flashlight to locate the four separate bolts that fasten the given light on the front of the car.
2. Loosen all four easily-seen bolts using the socket wrench and place bolts to the side taking care to remember which bolt goes where.
3. Once the bolts have been removed from the car, carefully yet firmly pull the entire lighting unit toward you. (The side marker light has a separate clip and you must apply slightly more pressure to that side of the light to get it loose from the vehicle.)
4. With the light pulled roughly six inches from the car, carefully loosen the bulb housing unit on the defective turn signal.
5. After removing the bulb, place the new bulb in the socket and gently turn slightly to the left while pushing down. This action will cause the bulb to slide down into the given slots on the housing unit.
6. After securing the bulb, make sure to turn your emergency lights on to see if the bulb is working.
7. If the bulb works, carefully slide the light back into place by applying an equal amount of pressure to the entire housing unit.
8. After the light has been slid firmly back into place, tighten the bolts back into their given grooves and close the hood.

Removing the Fog Light
1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery of your BMW. The ground wire is the black wire connecting the battery to the frame of your BMW.
2. Find the access openings for your fog light. These are located at the upper-right inside corner of your fog light.
3. Open the clips in the access opening with a screwdriver. These spring-loaded detaining clips should release if you push forward on them with the screwdriver. The fog light will fall forward along the side hinge, which on the opposite side of the detaining clips.
4. Pull out the fog light, bringing it away from the hinge.
Installing the Fog Light
5. Remove the protective covering on your new lens. Submerge the new light in hot water to peel the protective film off of the new light.
6. Add a thin bead of sealant around the new fog light lens.
7. Insert the fog light along the hinge of the access opening.
8. Press the fog light into the access opening for several minutes to allow the sealant to firm, gluing the light in place.
9. Reconnect the ground wire to the battery and the body of your BMW.
