2010 Mercury Grand Marquis
Overview
The Mercury Grand Marquis has been the go-to option for those few that want a rear-drive, body-on-frame sedan since Ford made the Crown Victoria a fleet-only offering a couple of years ago. The 2010 model year is the last year for the Grand Marquis as well as the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car, as Ford will finally retire the Panther platform after 30 years of service.Ford has kept the Grand Marquis on cruise control for several years and has not spent the time or money to equip it with modern features like a navigation system, a new engine, or a new transmission. Styling updates have been minimal as well, both inside and out.For the Grand Marquis final year, Ford shrunk the range down to just a single model, the LS, and offers minimal options like power-adjustable pedals, heated front seats, steering-wheel audio controls, and cassette player.

Whats New
The Grand Marquis enters its final year without any changes.
Exterior
The Grand Marquis sheetmetal has been unchanged for years and its close link with the Crown Victoria means it can be mistaken for a police car from a distance or at night.
Interior
The Grand Marquis interior has not been updated in ages, but its one of the few cars on the market offered with a front bench seat and it features a cavernous trunk with 20.6 cubic-feet of space.
Performance & Handling
The Grand Marquis 4.6L V-8 packs just 224 hp but a more-impressive 275 lb-ft of torque, though both figures are easily best by many modern V-6 engines. A four-speed automatic is the only transmission available, and yet the powertrain returns a relatively-good 24 mpg on the highway.
Safety
The Grand Marquis features four airbags as standard equipment -- dual front and dual front side -- plus seatbelt pretensioners and traction control.
